I have a 2 year old Lhasa Apso named Lily and sometimes I think she doesn%26#039;t like me.When I come home she doen%26#039;t greet me like she use to. She jumps up and licks my hand but she doen%26#039;t seem too exited.
Sometimes I think my dog doesn%26#039;t like me?
maybe shes just getting out of her puppy phase, and maturing into a quieter dog! I%26#039;m sure she likes you!
Reply:I have a rat terrier. She used to like me. Go to bed, cuddle up on the couch. Now, she under the bed, and under the couch. I call her she goes the other way. I have NEVER done a thing, I never even yell at her. She is 2 yrs. Oh, she loves my sister, what a kick in the pants that is. Report It
Reply:just because your dog doesn%26#039;t greet u like she used to doesn%26#039;t mean she doesn%26#039;t love you. all dogs age the differently. is your dog on any medication? my dog%26#039;s medicine makes her need to pee all the time and she isn%26#039;t as active when she takes it.
Reply:Have you taken her to the vet? If she is sick that could likely be the cause of her change in temperament.
Reply:Its actually a good sign that your dog no longer gets over-excited when you come home. What most people mistake for a show of excitement and happiness when they come home (dog barking, prancing, jumping, wagging nearly its whole body, etc.) is really anxiety and should not be encouraged by giving it attention and affection when it acts this way. Your dog greeting you calmly is a sign that she is content and comfortable in her situation.
Reply:Maybe it%26#039;s because she is getting older. She isn%26#039;t a puppy anymore, and probably mellowed out a bit.
