Lilies in need of help...!?

Something is eating my lilies in my garden. The leaves have munch bites on them and the newley forming buds have been nibbled on. Does anyone know what could be eating my most treasured plants? This is the first year this has happened! I wait all year for my lilies, I would hate to miss out on them this year! Thank you!

Depending on where you live, your lilies might be under attack of the dreaded red lily beetle. You should see if you can find the insect that is chewing on your plants. Lift up the leaves, look around in the soil. Hand pick the bug that is doing the damage and put it in a clear plastic pill bottle, then hop on the internet and make a positive identification. Different bugs need different treatments to eliminate them. There are excellent bug identification sites out there - whatsthatbug.com is a great place to start.
Reply:What wildlife is in the area? I know deer love them so I keep mine in a fenced area. Rabbits eats them too. You may have to spray them with something that critters wont like.
