Really bad guy problem... *sob*?

There%26#039;s this guy named John that is two years older than me. I%26#039;ve liked him for two years now, and he was my very first crush. He was also the very first guy that asked me out. I said no though two years ago, because my firend Lily liked him. Also, he asked me out before I REALLY liked him. Anyways I have a sister. I%26#039;m 13 and she is 12. John is 15 now. This year my sister, John, a group of other kids our age, and I went to this convention. There were fifty kids in total and we were split up into groups. My sister was in John%26#039;s group. She knew I liked him and she tried not to like him, but they spent so much time together. How could she not like him? He%26#039;s really nice, BUT he%26#039;s really ugly and does stupid things. Now we both like him and want him. He really likes my sister though. He likes her more than he likes me now, but I like him more than my sister does. I%26#039;ve liked him for two years. My sister has only liked him for two days. We don%26#039;t know what to do now. Will you please help us?:(

You can take one of two approaches:

All%26#039;s fair in love-and-war: Continue to actively pursue

the guy.

or

Family comes first: Let your sister date him and perhaps

pick up the pieces

Truthfully, if you weren%26#039;t getting anywhere with

him to begin with, I%26#039;d take the latter.

Indeed, she may be breaking the ice for you.

However, you should have done something about

this before your sister got involved. You were

waiting for him to come to you, right? Fess up...

There is no reason, as a girl, why you shouldn%26#039;t

have asked him out.

NONE WHATSOEVER.
Reply:Move on. So nothing%26#039;s happened for the last 2 years, either make your move on him or forget about him. Soon he will be taken by someone else.
Reply:You are really intelligent for a 13 year old. I would spend more time on the books though, if I were you. You have a lifetime ahead of you to fall in and out of love.
Reply:Your sister can wait in line. I mean two days i ncomparison to two years? But then again, it all depends on the guy, and who he chooses and for how long. I%26#039;d recommend tho, that the both of you wait a little while longer to let emotions stabilize. Don%26#039;t want too much of a sibling rivalry here.
Reply:You are both too young to be worried about boys and who likes who. Why can%26#039;t both of you just be friends with John?
Reply:Ah.. young love. It%26#039;s a confusing situation that you will probably encounter many times again in your life. One rule that I have always followed with my friends is that we don%26#039;t date people that the others like also. This way there is no hurt feelings. Also try to remember that at your age relationships don%26#039;t last for very long. You are going to change your mind all the time as of who you like and don%26#039;t like.
